SEO Audit: Ted Baker Disappoints

Fashion retailer Ted Baker is a good business with strong fundamentals. Its valuation has rallied since last year on the back of a strong growth rate, rising margins and international expansion.

Moreover, its brand is powerful, yet its online set-up presents a few issues, according to our preliminary SEO audit.

  • Technical: many 404 errors (“page not found”) have been detected and most of them are due to the wrong configuration for URLs.
  • Speed: speed for Mobile and Desktop are below average, and that is a significant problem for mobile in particular.
  • Hierarchy structure: the platform is not fully optimised, and hierarchy surely needs some basic SEO work. On-page and the user path journey would require optimisation, too.
