Based in London, he previously worked for five years at Dow Jones/The Wall Street Journal, with focus on M&A research and analysis for the investment banking community. Prior to that, he contributed to the launch of Loan Radar, where he worked for three years in London. He had stints in equity research at Bear Stearns in London and HVB in Munich. Laura Pasetti, Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Laura has spearheaded international teams in Barcelona (Spain) and London for several years, focussing on the financial, insurance and travel sectors before contributing to the launch of Hedging Beta in April 2015. She currently leads a team of four, managing the digital marketing strategy of all our clients, with particular focus on SEO planning, budgeting and execution. Prior clients include: PayPal, Credit Suisse, RAC, Axa, Avis & Budget Group, and Visit Britain.

Gian Mario Contessa, Chief Technology Officer
Gian Mario has spent over a decade in the software and technology sector. His experience spans Mobile-Oriented Architecture as well as Multi-Tenant Cloud Microservices and Software as a Service (SAAS). He worked to develop complex systems and tools, managing teams in Barcelona (Spain), London (UK) and Hanoi (Vietnam). A market specialist, he focuses on process analysis, “scaling”, tech strategy and research & development. Prior clients include: Arcadia Group, The White Company, Wickes and Sainsbury’s.

Francesca Chiappalupi, Non-Executive Director
Francesca has a degree in communication and new media arts. From the pitch to project planning and execution, she contributed to international campaigns of top-tier clients in Europe since the early days of her career. Her core experience is advertising production, having worked in Milan with clients such as Nestle Europe & Middle East, Ikea and Granarolo, among others. She has been with HB since inception.

Jeni Smith, Educational & Business Development Manager
Jeni has over 20 years experience as a language teacher at the University of Brescia in the faculty of Medicine as well as Business & Management and teaches English in the Department of Foreign Languages at the Sacred Heart Catholic University of Brescia. She has carried out numerous consultancy projects, covering flagship brands such as Magnetti Marelli, Iveco and many others.
Jeni graduated at the University of Cape Town with an Honours Degree in Language teaching and since then has been devoted to linguistic education in numerous fields, among which Business, Science, and Literature. She joined HB in August 2016.
