“There is no chance Amazon, which fully operates as a financial institution in the way it manages its finances and short-term liquidity needs, will also become a builder, right?”
Firstly, there wasn’t much news out there this week that was actually worth my research time — it’s unknown, for example how many users were affected by Google Drive’s latest outage, apparently.
The benchmark was previously set at about 3.6 million users, based on available data.
Enter the more enticing stuff then, with Youtube rolling out an in-app messaging system, and the latest update on Google App — nothing worth adding here. Finally, Bloomberg investigated the main drivers supporting Firebase’s purchase of Fabric.

By comparison, of course, latest news from Microsoft and Snapchat was small change at first sight, although Snapchat confirms to have ambitious targets for data gathering following its partnership with Oracle.
Finally, our corporate finance coverage, where the readers of our Netflix story one year ago (published on Seeking Alpha, titled Just How Risky Is Netflix At $100?) would not be surprised to learn that its shares are flying high following the latest set of figures.
